Langley Holdings plc (Langley), the diverse engineering and industrial group announced today its DC Druck Chemie GmbH (Druck Chemie) division has acquired printing chemicals consumables manufacturers BluePrint Products NV and Hi-Tech Chemicals BV from Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG.

The acquisition includes the Kruibeke, Belgium based production facility which produces high-quality printing chemicals consumables for flexographic, digital and offset printing for the packaging and commercial markets.

Druck Chemie and the acquired companies will continue to supply printing chemicals consumables to Heidelberger Druckmaschinen.

The €20.5 million sale was completed in under six weeks and was led by Langley M&A adviser Dr Florian von Alten, Managing Partner of Oaklins Angermann AG Hamburg.

Founded in 1971 in Ammerbuch, Germany, DC Druck Chemie GmbH is a leading manufacturer of printing chemicals. It has facilities in 10 European locations as well as Brazil and Mexico and was acquired by Langley in 2014.

Langley entered the printing sector in 2012 with the acquisition of Manroland Sheetfed GmbH a leading manufacturer of sheetfed offset printing presses for the commercial and packaging print markets.
