Following the announcement in September 2023, Reader Cement Products is pleased to confirm that the expansion of their Nottinghamshire-based production facility is now live, achieving an impressive output of over 10,000 pallets of PostFAST® in the first month of operation.
The investment, led by Managing Director William Langley and project managed by the company’s Operation Manager Jason Key, marks a pivotal moment in Reader Cement Products’ continued growth plan.
“This investment reflects the confidence our parent company, Langley Holdings PLC, has in our future. It will scale our operations to drive innovation in our products and processes, ensuring we remain at the forefront of our industry” said Will Langley.
Jason Key added, “I am very pleased with how the project ran. I commend ARODO, the Belgium manufacturer of automated packing machines, and SGH Equipment Ltd the material handling equipment supplier, for their timely delivery and satisfactory service.”
In this new chapter, the company plans to:
1. Expand Production Capacity: Increase output to meet growing demand and enter new markets.
2. Enhance Sustainability Initiatives: Develop eco-friendly technologies and practices that reduce the environmental impact of cement production.
3. Strengthen Workforce: Hire additional talent and provide advanced training programs to support the company’s growth.
The company is poised to set new benchmarks in quality, sustainability, and customer satisfaction, but Reader’s ambition doesn’t stop here. Discussions for a Phase 3 investment, including additional production lines, retrofitting existing machines, and significant infrastructure improvements, are ongoing.
