Since the company was founded by Albert Roland in 1949, ARO has been at the very forefront of welding innovation, delivering the highest quality welding equipment and services to the global automotive and other industries worldwide.
A key player in the global automotive sector, ARO supplies cutting-edge resistance welding solutions to many of the world’s most renowned manufacturers, including: Mercedes-Benz, Renault, Ford, Stellantis, General Motors, Geely, Volvo, BMW, NIO, JLR and others.
Today, ARO’s reputation as a trusted partner for the advancement of automotive welding processes is without equal.
From modest beginnings back in 1949, ARO expanded rapidly, establishing its first subsidiary in Germany in 1955, and in 1958 re-located to a purpose-built manufacturing facility in Château-du-Loir – where the company is headquartered today.

In 1999 the company acquired the U.S. company Savair and rapidly expanded manufacturing in the USA and in 2005 began production in China with its own subsidiary. Today, ARO is present with own subsidiaries and partners across the globe.
In 2006 ARO became part of the current shareholder group, the British family-owned engineering and industrial conglomerate, Langley Holdings.
ARO Regional Managing Directors gathered in Château-du-Loir this week joined by the Langley Board.
