Race 1 Victory At 52 Super Series Palma Vela Sailing Week
Gladiator, helmed by four-time 52 SUPER SERIES champion Guillermo Parada, with Tony Langley calling tactics, seized victory in the opening race of the 2024 series at Palma Vela Sailing Week.
A gutsy move on the first downwind leg propelled the British-flagged team from eighth to first position by the leeward gate. Despite a challenging start that left them trailing far behind, Langley capitalised on shifting winds to swiftly carve through the fleet.
Parada reflected on their remarkable recovery, attributing it to a strategic decision to veer hard left on the run.
As the series progresses, Gladiator aims to maintain their momentum and continue their pursuit of success on the water.
