Power Solutions Division scaleable microgrid eliminates UPS and standby generators in data centres
The Power Solutions Division showcased the Power of 10 microgrid solution for data centres at the recent Microgrid Knowledge 2024 Conference in Baltimore MD.
As conventional power grids struggle to keep up with burgeoning AI demand, the event highlighted the pressing need for independent power generation.
The Power of 10 is a modular independent power solution comprising multiples of H2 convertible gas-fired 10MW Bergen / Marelli medium-speed generating sets, incorporating Piller Integrated Power Conditioning & Stabilization (IPCS) technology which eliminates the need for UPS and backup generators.
Infinitely scalable, the Power of 10 enables data center operators to grow their microgrids in 10MW modules as demand increases.
In an interview with Microgrid Knowledge, Dean Richards, CEO of sPiller Power Systems US operation, elaborated on how his parent company’s Power Solutions Division (comprising Bergen Engines, Piller Power Systems and Marelli Motori) is stepping up to the challenge.
